Old Pantry Jar
This jar has a wax and spice coating. These can have a candle inside or empty as display items for a cupbard or shelf on a breadboard. This is my first one and now many more will follow!

Pipberries and Shovels
When I'm working at an auction, the lawn tools, rakes and shovels sell for as low as 50 cents a piece. At the last craft fair that I sold at, people were walking out all day with shovels and rakes with pipberries wrapped around them. Lightbulb! I have pipberries and I'm right there when the shovels are being sold. Guess what I'm going to be making next!!

Grungy, grungy, grungy
That is the key word today. Everything that I make today, will be grungy. I do have to take into consideration though, the people that have no clue about grungy primitives. Most people like just the country look, with pigs and cows. There is a wide range of "pretty country" items that I have supplies for, just haven't wanted to do anything with them in a couple of years. But with the craft show season starting, better get crafting!

Craft Show Buzz
Sending out another craft show application! This one is July 18 & 19 and everything has to be hand made. That means no actual primitives :( Candles and make do's will be a majority of my items for sale. Not sure if they would consider Smelly jelly as hand made. Busy, busy, busy!!! :)

Happy Easter
I would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter! May it be spent with family and loved ones and have many laughs and make new memories.
I would like to talk now about Make do's. I have a new outlook on them as I have seen one on a potato masher in the last few days! My eyes will be constantly looking for anything that has room at the top to put a crow on. It is almost an obsession when I concentrate on finding new items to craft with and I LOVE IT!!

A few new items
Prim looking pillows made from cutter quilts are so nice! I made one last night and now I need to find more cutter quilts. Cinnamon ornaments smell the greatest. They are not edible but look and smell nice on a prim tree. Make do's on a spindle are a great way to add height to a shelf of prims. They can be made any height to fit your space. Like this one, that will be available soon on my Magic Country Candles site.

Home Show
Flyers will be given to friends and businesses for a glimpse at my candles and handmade items. It is called a Home Show on April 3rd, 2008. It will be a busy 2 weeks preparing for it, but it's what I love to do! Summer tarts are being put on the Magic Country Candles site, today. So many things to be happy about :)

Pear Make Do and Smelly Jelly
The Pear came out almost like the one from the store. A few things need to be adjusted on the next one. Darker paint and a painted, fabric strip at the bottom instead of the netting fabric that I used on this one.
I am selling my first few jars of smelly jelly today! The customer is buying them as Easter presents for her family. I bought a Smelly Jelly at a craft show last year and didn't have to touch it for 3 months! I had to add some water to it after that and I still have it sitting on my window.

Candle making day!
Ah.. the great smell of cinnamon scented wax will fill my home today and there will be ground cinnamon all over the counter. It's like being a kid again, but I am the one that gets to clean the mess! I have also cut out some Pears for make do's and can't wait to see if they turn out like the pear that I bought 2 weeks ago (please turn out like the one from the store).
Oh I just love how the primitive blue color of these candles turned out! I need to find more pillar candles to sell these at the craft shows!
hm...$7.00 each sounds fair.
